  • Signs of active morphea include erythema, violaceous/erythematous sometimes indurated borders, new or extending lesions, sclerotic center, and pruritis.
  • Circumscribed morphea needs to be followed long-term to make sure it does not evolve to generalized morphea.
  • Screen for lichen sclerosis et atrophicus during a genital exam in patients with generalized morphea
